Dr. Natalie Caron, Postdoctoral Fellow (she/her)

Hello,

Welcome ALL Parts!!

I’m Dr. Natalie Caron, Psy.D., M.Ed., M.A, LPC.

I believe therapy should be an inviting and safe place where every single part of you is welcome, even the difficult parts that are hard to share. All parts and each individual client in therapy are assessed on an individual basis and are embraced with unconditional positive regard, creativity, expertise, authenticity, curiosity, and compassion. I believe that all clients and all parts are heard, validated, and supported!! I am grateful to act as an active witness, guide, educator, support person, and therapist. If I think of the darkest moments in my life and of those around me, I know how powerful it can be to have someone there supporting and encouraging you to be your best, and most authentic self.

I’ve been working in mental health for as long as I can remember. I graduated in 2018 with my doctorate in clinical psychology and have steadily been growing and evolving as a professional during my postdoctoral fellowship. Dr. B has taught me to prioritize my own health and healing, and man that was a complete surprise. It continues to be a journey filled with self-discovery. During my post-doctoral fellowship, I have had the rare opportunity to expand my capacity as a professional and additionally receive extensive training from a perinatal lens, which has been life-altering.

I specialize in working with clients who are seeking therapy to address difficulties in complex trauma, complex bereavement, grief, mood disorder, anxiety, relationship concerns, perinatal challenges, severe mental illness, intimate partner violence, child and adolescent issues, divorce/separation, eating disorders, and marital issues.

I’m trained in Humanistic therapy and my work is client-focused and interaction. I work from an eclectic perspective in order to meet my client’s needs and develop a client-centered treatment plan.

During the fellowship, I have taken extensive training in perinatal trauma and psychological disorders, and plan to continue taking more courses!! Additionally, I was strongly encouraged by Dr. B to attend a Brainspotting course. To my utter shock and surprise, I found Brainspotting so enlightening and powerful. I have completed my Brainspotting Phase 1 training so far and am scheduled to attend more courses soon!!

Additionally, I have several other certifications currently in progress. I have almost completed the Personality Disorder Certificate Training. I am also working toward becoming an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist. I have attended several workshops and hope to be taking a Level 1 IFS course.
