Dr. Natalie Caron, Psy.D., M.Ed., M.A, LPC (she/her)

Hello everyone,

My name is Dr. Natalie Caron, Psy.D., M.Ed., M.A, LPC. I am a licensed therapist with over 14 years of experience practicing in Texas. I grew up in Texas, but have lived all over the United States. Identities and labels find a way of attaching themselves to us. I am also a wife, mother of two children, advocate, and former special education teacher. Beyond those identities that I have listed, I am human.

Guided by authenticity, curiosity, and compassion, I strive to create a safe, welcoming space for clients to grow awareness, self acceptance, and compassion. Your background and context are important to me, and I hope to provide a therapeutic experience where all the parts of you can be known and supported. I utilize a person-centered, non-pathological, compassionate space that is free of judgment and where all parts are welcome. As a seasoned trauma sensitive and creative psychotherapist, I work collaboratively with clients to establish an authentic connection and set a safe and respectful space for clients to explore whatever they bring to sessions.

My experience includes working with clients who survived acute and chronic complex trauma, sexual trauma, attachment wounds, mood disorders, somatic disorders, personality disorders, relationship concerns, divorce, separations, body concerns, parenting issues, anxiety, bereavement, eating disorders, neuro-diversity, addictions, and dissociative conditions. I have experience working with clients who have chronic health conditions. Additionally, our practice specializes in perinatal, reproductive focused therapy, as well as reproductive trauma.

I have been trained in several innovative modalities which have been supportive, useful, and evidence based in helping clients. I utilize a person-center therapy style, taking a mind/body/soul approach. I am trained in Humanistic therapy, Existential, Brief therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions, structural family therapy, to name a few. I am EMDR trained and have completed Level One Internal Family System (IFS). I am certified in Integrative Somatic Parts Work Level 1/2/3 which blends beautifully with IFS and other trauma informed models. I have completed Level 2 Brainspotting. I listen empathically and utilize therapeutic holistic interventions and approaches to optimize integration and quality living.

My work is client-centered, committed to proceeding at a comfortable pace that prioritizes feeling safe. I have a great deal of respect for the parts of us who may want to protect us from vulnerable or intense feelings, and I will do my best to honor and appreciate those parts. I believe we as humans navigating this beautiful and complicated world, we are doing the best we can with the resources within and around us. I know first hand being in the client chair is a brave thing to do. For anyone who is considering inviting me into their lived experience in a therapeutic capacity, I consider it an honor and privilege. I can assure you it would be a beautiful privilege to walk alongside someone, graciously. Your mental health is something to be cared for, nurtured, and guided. I would love to help provide services for all parts present.

Warmly,
Dr. Natalie
