Dr. Natalie Caron, Postdoctoral Fellow (she/her/hers)

Hello, I’m Dr. Natalie Caron, Psy.D., M.Ed., M.A, LPC. I’ve been working in mental health for as long as I can remember. I graduated in 2018 with my doctorate in clinical psychology and am pumped to be working on my postdoctoral fellowship. It’s been a year now, and it’s still going well. So well, I work with Dr. B full time!

I’m trained in Humanistic therapy, utilizing an integrative therapy style; patient-centered. I wanted to work with Dr. Blythe because she presents as a human being. AND she knows a ton about private practice. I’ve worked in group practices for so long, I want to see what the rest of the world looks like. She is still working on getting me to loosen up! HA! She has taught me to prioritize my own health and healing, and man that was a complete surprise.

My current top three musicians are Billie Eilish, Adele, and Fall Out Boy. My top 3 movies are A Star is Born, Star Wars, and Pride and Prejudice. I value being creative and timely, which Dr. Blythe assures me is a good fit.

My clients describe me as: caring, empathic, people person, passionate about my work, eager, authentic, honest, motivated to help my client, fair, creative, and supportive.

Something to know about my approach: My therapeutic orientation utilizes an integrative, spiritually competent, diversity-competent, and trauma-focused psychotherapy and counseling from a humanistic approach.

I became a therapist because: I am a therapist because I am passionate about self-discovery, exploration, and healing. If I think of the darkest moments in my life and of those around me, I know how powerful it can be to have someone there supporting and encouraging you to be your best and most authentic self.

I specialize in working with clients: complex trauma, complex bereavement, bereavement issues, grief, trauma (abuse/neglect), communication problems, mood disorder, anxiety, adjustment issues, relationship issues, military issues, severe mental illness, intimate partner violence, child and adolescent issues, divorce/separation issues, eating disorders, marital issues. I’ve started a certification program for treating personality disorders, which is a passion of mine.

About my practice and myself: I believe that therapy is an inviting place where every single part of you is welcome, even the difficult parts that are hard to share. I like to assess each client individually. I think everyone is an individual, not a label, and find that this offers clients more acceptance and security within therapeutic relationships.

Together we will work on identifying hopes, dreams, goals, and difficulties that brought an individual into treatment. Both the therapist and client will work together committed to meet those short and long-term goals.

Want to start working together – submit the new patient request form and lets see when we can get you in!
